Tom Cataldo joined CulinArt in 2012 after many years in the private catering sector. He came to CulinArt with a plethora of knowledge from New York Technical College, where he majored in Hotel and Restaurant Management, as well as years of work in top tier hotels as Food and Beverage Director, and as an owner and operator of a leading catering company.
Initially charged with enhancing the catering operations at the Village Club at Lake Success, Tom exceeded every expectation and took the Village Club to all new heights. He was instrumental in the redesign and renovation project, and reestablished the Village Club as “the Wow factor Long Island has been waiting for!” And, with this, Tom began the journey of transforming and refreshing the Philip Stone Caterers brand.
Tom’s personal style and flair for sexy, spectacular events quickly extended beyond the Village Club, as he was elevated to Senior Director of Catering for CulinArt Group Catering Collection. He took over the helm of Regal Caterers, the company’s Glatt Kosher catering brand, and imparted his standards and ethos as Regal stepped in as the exclusive caterer at Woodbury Jewish Center. Here, again, Tom led the design and renovation project, transforming the venue and its reputation, and he remains the driving force behind all events at WJC.
Each and every day, Tom is on the go, a whirlwind, travelling between CulinArt venues, seeing long-time clients, meeting new clients, giving guided tours, introducing them to the CulinArt Group Catering Collection brands and our venue portfolio. Tom works hand-in- hand with our executive chefs on menu creation and presentation. He leads teams of servers, event managers and staff with his unique approach, and always by example. He, of little sleep and infinite energy, expects and commands the same from his elite team of event and sales professionals, and just about everyone else along his perfectly coiffed and expertly tailored path.
